As far as look and user-friendliness, you can thank the people at WordPress.com for setting up blogs that make life easier for the rest of us.
Each person is responsible for what appears online in his or her own area(s) of ministry - and they can change or adjust it as often as they want. We need only web access and a browser (and very little technical prowess) to give the blogs content.
The techie guys are also now free to deal with in-office hardware, software or network issues. They need not be concerned with how what they do affects what appears on the web - because they are now almost totally unrelated.
